“Your lord has decreed that you workship none but him, and do good to parents. If any one of them or both of them reach old age, do not say to them “uff” and do not scold them, and add ress them with respectful words”.
SURAH AL-ISRA (VERSE 23)
In this Ayah, Allah S.W.T has ordered upon us, to respect our parents and to take care of them when they get old. It is our responsibility to deal with them patiently and address them kindly. It is forbidden to even say the word “UFF”. When they grow old and weak, we should take care of them just like how they used to take care of us. Parents are a blessing of Allah S.W.T and we should never take this blessing for granted.
